Hospitality Supervisor - Food and Beverage

Job Summary

The Supervisor of Hospitality is responsible for running our bars and cabana service throughout the park.
At Calypso, we have 6 bar locations in the park and host a variety of events requiring bar service. Our all park AGCO license requires a supervisor who understands the liquor licensing laws in Ontario as well as
premium customer service.

We are seeking an energic and dynamic leader to supervise our staff of approximately 25 bartenders and
servers and 4 team leaders.

Job Duties

• Set staff schedules and monitor performance
• oversee staff training
• work together with the director and other FB leaders on inventory, consumptions, losses and controls
• secure your points of sale cashes and monitor processes
• balance and close cashes at end of shifts
• familiarize and train your staff on Calypso's internal Alcohol Policy
• ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed
• do morning rounds to open all facilities, verify inventories, inspect to ensure proper signage and identification are posted at all locations
• rotate through the shift to maintain proper service standards across the park
• instruct and coach your staff to reach peak service levels
• manage conflict with clients when service is suspended
• communicate with other departments and all levels of management to identify possible risks

What You Bring

• Completion diploma in a related field.
• Food and Beverage experience.
• Computer skills in Windows, General office equipment, Electronic mail, Electronic scheduler and Internet browser.
• Must have leadership experience. Must work well as a team.
• Smart Serve Certification.
• Proficiency in English and French written and spoken is a definite asset.
• Punctual, organized, flexible, adaptable, reliable and ability to work under pressure.
• Must have a profound understanding of customer service.
• Public Relations Skills required
