Richmond’s largest non-profit social service provider, Aspire helps more than 1000 people with developmental disabilities each year to lead thriving, connected, happy lives. Aspire also helps family members access programs and services, ensuring quality of care throughout the lifespan of the individual supported.

Archway Community Services offers 90+ programs for community members in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Langley as well as an international program in India.
We help “Build Connections for Employment” through one-on-one employment coaching, training for job seekers, and professional mentorship, to explore opportunities for accessing the Canadian labour market.
From providing employment readiness sessions, networking events and topical workshops the Employment Mentors program assists immigrants in gaining valuable knowledge and an understanding of Canadian workplace culture and employment pathways in Canada.

Canucks Autism

Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) is a national initiative that engages, educates and supports employers to hire people on the autism spectrum or with an intellectual disability. Canucks Autism Network is a RWA partner, co-delivering the program with Inclusion BC in British Columbia.
If you are an individual on the spectrum looking for work, or an employer interested in inclusive hiring, we can help you reach your goals.
The Canucks Autism Network Skills Training Employment Program (CAN-STEP) empowers Autistic youth and adults (ages 15-30) with skills and work experience to better prepare for successful employment.
Over the course of 12 weeks, participants receive paid classroom training (6 weeks) and work experience (6 weeks)* opportunities in the Lower Mainland. CAN-STEP is currently being offered with a focus on the hospitality industry.

Steps Forward

STEPS Forward, the BC Initiative for Inclusive Post-Secondary Education, provides inclusion support for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access post-secondary education.
Students are supported to enroll at the university or college of their choice, pursue studies and engage in student life in the same classes and places as any other student.
Over the course of their studies, students identify a program based on their interests and goals and receive a certificate of completion at convocation alongside their peers in their program of study.
